Chap. 22.—An ACT to Amend and Re-enact Chapter 186 of the Acts of
Assembly of 1871—an Act to make Clinch River a Lawful Fence,
Approved January 18, 1872.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembiy, That chapter one
hundred and eighty-six, entitled “An act declaring a portion of
Clinch river a lawful fence in Scott county,” approved March
twenty-third, eighteen hundred and seventy-one, be so amended
and re-enacted as to read as follows: That Clinch river be, and
fhe same is hereby declared to be, a lawful fence, from Pendle-
ton’s islands, in the county of Scott, to the point where said
river crosses the line between the state of Virginia and the
state of Tennessee.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
