Chap. 212.—JOINT RESOLUTION Extending the Session of the Gene-
ral Assembly.
Agreed to March 15, 1872.
Whereas, there are over fifty senate bills and one hundred
house bills on their second reading, and many of these bills of
great public value and necessity, only a few of which could by
any possible means be advanced to their third reading during
the few remaining days of the session; and whereas, it is
economy for the finances of the state that these bulls should be
passed and become laws: therefore,
- 1. Be it resolved (the senate concurring), That the present
session of the general assembly be and the same is hereby
-extended for a period of seven days from the 19th instant:
provided, that no new bill, except the appropriation bill, will
be considered after Saturday, the 16th instant.
