Chap. 210.—JOINT RESOLUTION Authorizing the School Trustees of
_ Washington School District of the County of Alexandria to use Dis-
trict School Funds to Pay Teachers of Public Schools.

Approved March 15, 1872.

1. Resolved by the house of delegates (the senate concur-
ring), That the school trustees of Washington school district
of the county of Alexandria be and they are hereby authorized
to apply such part of the proceeds of the taxes that have been
levied in pursuance of the eighth clause of the twenty-fourth
section of the school law, as may not be needed to provide
school-houses, school books for indigent children, and other
school appliances and current expenses, such as are prescribed
by law, to the payment of the public school teachers of that
school district for services rendered during the scholastic year
ending August thirty-first, eighteen hundred and seventy-two.
