Chap. 206.-—An ACT to authorize the Fredericksburg, Orange and Char-
lottesville Railroad Company to Receive Subscriptions to its Capital
Stock from Citizens of the Counties of Orange, Madison, Greene and
Albemarle, to Paid for in Lands lying in said Counties.

Approved March 15, 1872.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That it shall be £
lawful for the Fredericksburg, Orange and Charlottesville Rail- ¢
road Company to receive subscriptions to its capital stock from }
citizens of the counties of Orange, Madison, Greene and Albe- +
marle, and to receive in payment and satisfaction of such sub- f
scriptions lands lying in either of said counties at valuations *
agreed upon by such subscribers and said company.

2. The said company shall have right to hold, lease, manage, p
and dispose of such lands, for a period not exceeding fifteen
years from the date when such lands are conveyed to said
company.

3. The amount of such lands which may be so acquired by R
said company shall not exceed ten thousand acres in either of
said counties.
