Chap. 175.—An ACT to Amend and Re-enact Section Eight of Chapter
One Hundred and Eighty-six of the Code of 1860, in Relation to Judg-
ment Liens.
Approved March 18, 1872.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That section eight
of chapter one hundred and eighty-six, of the Code of eighteen
hundred and sixty, concerning len of judgments on real estate,
be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
“8 8. No judgment shall be a lien on real estate as against
& purchaser thereof for valuable consideration without notice,
unless it be docketed according to the third and fourth sec-
tions of this chapter, in the county or corporation wherein
sach real estate is, either within ninety days next after the
date of such judgment or thirty days before the conveyance
of said estate to such purchaser.”
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
