Chap. 171.—JOINT RESOLUTION Requesting Sveretary of the Com-
monwealth, Auditor of Pablic Accounts, Second Auditor, and Treasurer
to Revise the Laws for the Assessment and Collection of Taxes, &c.

Approved March 13, 1872.

1. Resolved (the house of delegates concurring), That the
secretary of the commonwealth, auditor of public accounts,
second auditor, and the treasurer, be and they are hereby
requested to revise the laws for the assessment and collection
of taxes, both for state and county purposes, and make report,
with such information and statistics as are pertinent to said
subject, to the general assembly, at the commencement of its
next session; but the performance of said duty, by the said
officers, shall be without any charge upon the treasury of
the state. .
