Chap. 165.—An ACT to Amend and Re.enact an Act entitled an Act to
Prescribe the Times for the Holding of the Terms of the Circuit Courts
of the State, approved July 11th, 1870, which last Act was approved
February 3d, 1871, so as to Change the Times for Holding the Terms of
the Circuit Courts in the 5th, 10th and 14th Circuits, )

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the act en-
titled “an act to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to
prescribe the times for the holding the terms of the circuit
courts of the state,” approved July the eleventh, eighteen hun-
dred and seventy, which last act was approved February the
third, eighteen hundred and seventy-one, be amended and re-
enacted so as to read as follows:
The circuit courts of this state shall hold their terms here
after at the times hereinafter specitied, to wit:

2. That all causes and matters now pending in the circuit
court for the county of James City, and all causes and matters
now pending in the circuit court for the city of Williamsburg,
and all causes and matters which were pending in the old cir-
cuit court for the city of Williamsburg and county of James
City, at the time of the passage of the act approved July elev-
enth, 1870, prescribing the times for the holding of the terms
of the circuit courts of the state, shall be transferred to the
circuit court for the county of James City and City of Wil-
liamsburg, and shall be docketed, and heard and determined
in the last mentioned court.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
