Chap. 67.—JOINT RESOLUTION in Relation to the Removal of the Peni-
tentiary.

Approved February 6, 1871.

Resolved by the house of delegates (the senate concurring),
That the committee for public institutions of the senate, and
the committee on asylums and prisons of the house of dele-
gates, be jointly instructed to advertise and receive proposals
from any parties for a site upon which to rebuild the state
penitentiary, and that the said joint committee, if it shall be
satisfied that it will be to the interest of the state to accept
any proposed site, be instructed to make full report of propo-
sals received by them, and conclusions arrived at, upon a full
consideration of the facts presented to or ascertained by them
