Chap. 49.—JOINT RESOLUTION Legalizing the Order of the County
Judge of Fluvanna County, made December 26, 1870, in Relation to
Taking the Sense of the People of said County in Aid of Sabseniptions
to the Rivanna Navigation Company.
Approved January 20, 1871.
Whereas, the county judge of Fluvanna county did, on the
twenty- sixth of December, eighteen hundred and seventy,
make and enter an order of court designating the twenty-first
of January, eighteen hundred and seventy-one, as the day on
which to open polls in said county, in accordance with provis-
ions of the act entitled an act to authorize the judge of the
county court of Fluvanna county to take the sense of the
qualified voters of said county in aid of subscriptions to the
Rivanna navigation company; and whereas, said act did not
become a law until the sixteenth of J anuary, eighteen hundred
and seventy-one: therefore,
Be it resolved by the house of delegates (the senate concur-
ring), That the order of the county judge of Fluvanna county,
designating the twenty-first of January, eighteen hundred and
seventy-one, a8 the day on which to open polls in said county,
in accordance with the provisions of the act above recited, be
and the same is hereby declared legal and valid for the purposes
declared in said act. ~
