Chap. 298.—An ACT to Authorize the Superintendent of Public Instruction
to Appoint an Additional Clerk.

Approved March 31, 1871.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the superin-
tendent of public instruction be and he is hereby authorized
to appoint an additional clerk, to be approved by the board of
education: provided, that the compensation of such officer
shall be fixed by said board, not to exceed one thousand dol-
lars per annum.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
