Chap. 229.—An ACT to Amend and Re-enact Section 3 of an Act Passed
December 20, 1855, Entitled an Act to Incorporate the Town of Orange,
as Amended by an Act Approved July 9, 1870.
In Force March 29, 1871.
1, Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the third section of an act passed December twentieth, eighteen
hundred and fifty-five, as amended by an act approved July
ninth, eighteen hundred and seventy, be amended and re-en-
acted so as to read as follows:
“§ 3. R. J. Ecloff, George Cullen, Joseph H. Houseworth,
Alexander Daily, and James L. Robinson, or any two of them,
are hereby authorized to hold an election on the twenty-eighth
February, eighteen hundred and seventy-one, for the trustees
aforesaid. The judge of the county court of Orange county,
if it should appear to him to be necessary, may appoint another
day for the election of the aforesaid trustees.”
2, This act shall be in force from its passage.
