Chap. 148.—An ACT for the Relief of Robert Harper and Frances Newton,
of the County of Loudoun.
Approved March 18, 1871.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the auditor
of public accounts be and he is hereby authorized and required
to issue his warrant on the treasury, payable out of any money
therein not otherwise appropriated, in favor of Robert Harper
and Frances Newton, or their legal representatives, for the
sum of twenty dollars and thirteen cents, that being the
amount of taxes for the years eighteen hundred and sixty-five,
eighteen hundred and sixty-six, eighteen hundred and sixty-
seven, eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, and eighteen bundred
and sixty-nine, on a certain tract of land in the county of Lou-
doun, which were erroneously assessed against the heirs of
the late Nelly S. Newton, and which were paid by the said
Robert Harper and Frances Newton into the treasury of the
commonwealth.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
