Senator.

Resolved by the house of delegates (the senate concurring),
That the rules adopted by the two houses on the nineteenth
day of October, eighteen hundred and sixty-nine, for the gov-
ernment of the senate and house of delegates, when convened
in joint assembly for the election of senators in congress, be
and the same are hereby adopted for the government of the
senate and house of delegates, when convened in joint assem-
bly for the election of United States senator to fill the vacancy
in the United States congress caused by the expiration of the
term of Honorable J. W. Johnston.
