Chap. 68.—An ACT making an Appropriation for the Support of the
Asylum for the Deaf and Dumb and the Blind, at Staunton.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the sum of
fifteen thousand dollars be and the same is hereby appropriated
out of any money in the treasury, not otherwise appropriated,
to supply a deficiency in the appropriation heretofore made,
for the current year ending the thirtieth day of September,
eighteen hundred and seventy, for the use of, and to defray
the expenses of, the Institution for the Deaf and Dumb and
the Blind, at Staunton, and the auditor of public accounts is
hereby authorized to issue his warrants on the treasury in
favor of the said institution, for the sum of seven thousand
five hundred dollars upon the passage of this act, and for the
farther sum of seven thousand five hundred dollars on the
first day of July, eighteen hundred and seventy, or-as soon
thereafter as he may be requested by the said institution. «
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
