Chap. 415.—An ACT Declaring the Shenandoah River to bea Lawful Fence
in the County of Clarke.
Approved November 5, 1870.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the Shenan-
doah river be and the same is hereby declared a lawful fence
in the county of Clarke, on the line dividing the counties of
Clarke and Warren, and on the line dividing said county of
Clarke from West Virginia: provided, that where a public road
runs along the bank of said river, gates may be erected across
said road in the fences running at right angles to the river.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
