Chap. 283.—An ACT Repealing Certain Acts in Relation to the Virgin
Canal Company, «ce.

Approved July 11, 1870.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
an act passed third February, eighteen hundred and sixty-six
entitled an act to amend and re-enact the act entitled an act tc
incorporate the Virginia Canal Company, and to transfer the
rights and franchises of the James iver and Itanawha com
pany thereto, passed twenty-ninth March, eighteen hundrec
and sixty-one; also, that an act entitled an act in relation tc
the Virginia Canal Company, passed February twenty-first
eighteen hundred and sixty-seven; also, that an act entitled
an act relating to the improvement of the Great Kahawhs
river, passed the sixteenth February, eighteen hundred anc
Sixty-seven, be and the same are hereby repealed.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
