Chap. 204.—An ACT to Amend the Charter of the Virginia International
Land, Loan, and Trust Company.
Approved July 9, 1870.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, ‘That
it shall be lawful for The Virginia International Land, Loan,
and Trust Company to increase the number of its board of di-
rectors by the election of as many additional members from
amongst the stockholders as the said company may from time
to time deem expedient. Not less than five members, inclu-
ding the president and vice-president, shall constitute a quorum
of the board of directors. When the full board of directors
shall consist of nine or more members, they shall be divided
as equally as may be into three classes. The term of office of
the first class shall be one year; of the second class, two years;
and of the third class, three years. The term of office of any
director shall be until his successor is elected. Vacancies oc-
curring in the board may be filled by the board at any of its
meetings.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage, and shall be-
come a part of the charter of said Virginia International Land,
Loan, and Trust Company, when accepted by a majority of
the stockholders thereof in general meeting assembled.
