Chap. 178.—An ACT to Amend and Re-enact Section Nine, Chapter Four-
teen of the Code, fixing the pay of the Attorney-General.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the ninth
section of chapter fourteen of the Code of eighteen hundred
“iin sixty, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as fol-
ows:
“§ 9. The attorney-general shall receive annually the sum of
two thousand dollars, and the mileage allowed him shall be
the same as that allowed the judges of the court of appeals
whilst traveling to and from said court. The salary shall be
paid monthly by a warrant from the auditor drawn on the
treasurer; and the mileage, upon his tertificate of honor that
the same was incurred whilst traveling on business for the
state.”
2. This act shall take effect from the twenty-fourth of Janu-
ary, eighteen hundred and seventy.
