Chap. 81.—An ACT to amend and re-enact the &th section of an act
pissed Tsth of April. 1867, entitled an act to provide for the conyple-
tion of a line ot ratiway from the Virginia seaboard Co the Mississippi
aud Ohio rivers, by facilitating the completion of the Virginia and hen-
tucky Railroad,
Passed April 24, 1867.
1, Be it enacted by the eeneral assembly, That the eighth
section of an act entitled an act for the completion of a line
of railw ay from the Virginia seaboard to the Mississippi and
Vhio rivers, by facilitating the coustrnetion of the Virginia
and Kentucky 1 railroad, be amended and re-enacted so as to
read as follows:
“yx. It shall be the duty of the said Atlantic, Mississippi
and Ohio railroad company to construct a branch read within
six years from the passage of this act, from some point on
the Vi irginia and Tennessee railroad,at or near the Central
depot, northward in thesdirection of the mouth of the Green-
brier river, to the castern boundary of West Virginia; and
shall have all the powers, necessary ‘and proper for that pur-
pose, conferred on railroad companies by the Code.”
2. ‘This act shall be in force trom its passage.
