Chap. 67.—-An ACT for punishing injuries to Burial Grounds.
Passed Apri 22, 1867.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That every per-
son who shall wilfully and maliciously destroy, mutilate, de-
face, Injure or remove any tomb, monument, gravestone or
other structure, placed within any cemetery,, graveyard or
place of burial, or any fences, railing or other work tor the
protection or ornament of any tomb, monument, gravestone
or other structure aforesaid, or of any cemetery lot within
any cemetery; or shall wilfully and malictously destroy, re-
move, cut, break or injure any tree, shrub or plant with
any cemetery; or who shall wilfully and maliciously destroy,
mutilate, injure, or remove and carry away any flower.

yar d or other place of burial, or who shall wilfully “obstruct
proper ingress and egress to and from any cemetery, shail be
cuilty of a misdemeanor, and be punished hy a fine not ex
ceeding one hundred dollars, or by imprisonment in jail not
exceeding six months.
2. This act shall be in force from and after its passage.
