Chap. 33.—An ACT to defray the expenses of transporting and the erec-
tion on the monument of the statues of Marshall, Lewis, Nelson aud
the trophies and ornaments for the seme,
Passed March 20, 1867.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the auditor
of public accounts be and he is hereby authorized and directed
to issue his warrant on the treasury, payable out of any money
therein not otherwise appropriated, on the order of the gov-
ernor of the commonwealth, for such sums as may be certt-
fied to him by the commissioners of the Washington monu-
ment as being required from time to time to defray the ex-
penses of transporting and placing upon the monument the
statue of Marshall and the remaining statues of Lewis and
Nelson, and the trophies and ornaments connected with the
same, and charge said warrants to the Washington monu-
ment fund.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
