Chap. 109. —An ACT Suspending the Collection of the Oyster Capitation
Tax on the present Residents of the Island of Chincoteague for the
years 1867 and 1868,
Passed April 4, 1807.
Be it enacted by the general assembly, That in conside-
ration of the calamitous effects of the unusual cold of last
winter, and of the unusual tides and storms of this spring on
the island of Chincoteague, the collection of the oyster ‘capi-
tation tax on the present residents of Chincoteague for the
years cighteen hundred and sixty-seven and eighteen Hin-
dred and sixty-eight be and is hereby suspended.
2”. This act shall be in force from its passage.
