Chap. 108.—An ACT to amend and re-enact the Ist section of an act en-
tilled an act to authorize the extension of the Richmond and Danville
Railroad from Danville to some point on the line of the Virginia and
Tennessee Railroad, passed April 24th, 1867.
Passed April 26, 1867.
I. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the first
section of an act entitled an act to authorize the extension of
the Richmond .and Danville railroad to some point on the
line of the Virginia and Tennessee railroad, passed April
twenty-fourth, eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, be amended
and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
“81. That the Richmond and Danville railroad company
is hereby authorized to extend its road from the town of
Danville, throueh the counties of Pittsylvania, Henry, Pat-
rick and Carroll, by Rockeastle gap, or such other crossing
east of said gap as shall be found most practicable, to some
point on the present line of the Virginia and Tennessee rai.
road; and for this purpose, the said company is hereby au-
thorized to increase its capital stock to the sum of eight mil-
lions of dollars, inclusive of its present capital stock, to be
issued and held in shares of one hundred dollars each.”
2, This act shall be in force from its passage.
