Chap. 100.—An ACT authorizing the town of Fredericksburg to issue
bonds tor the purpose of raising money to remove obstructions in the
Rappahannock river.
Passed April 25, 1867.
Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
for the purpese of raising a fund to remove the obstructions
in the Rappahannock river, at and near, Fredericksburg, the
mayor and commonalty of ‘said town are hereby empowered
and authorized to issne bonds of said corporation, not to ex-
eced the sum of thirty-five hundred dollars, in such’ sums ax
may be deemed expedient, payable from two to ten years,
and bearing a rate of interest not to exceed eight per centum
per annum.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
