CHAP. 91.—An ACT to authorize and direct the board of supervisors
of Greene county to pay Arthur Stephens for bis services as Judge in
a road case in the county court of said connty at its February term,
1879.

Approved April 2, 1879.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the board of supervisors of Greene county, be authorized and
directed to issue its warrant upon the treasurer of said county,
payable out of any eounty funds in his hands not otherwise ap-
propriated, to Arthur Gtephens, a member of the bar practicing in
the county court of said county, for services as judge in a road
case in said county, at its February term, eighteen hundred and
seventy-nine, in pursuance of section fifteen, chapter one hun-
dred and fifty-four, Code of eighteen hundred and seventy-
three, at a rate not te exceed four dollars per day for the time
actually engaged in the said road case.

2. ‘This act shall be in force from its passage.
