CHAP. 81.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 8 of chapter 32 of
the Code of 1873, with reference to the compensation of assessors.

Approved April 2, 1879.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the cighth section of chapter thirty-two of the Code of eighteen
hundred and seventy-three, be amended and re-enacted so as
to read as follows:

68. Hach assessor and assistant assessor shall receive the
sum of two dollars for each day he shall be necessarily em-
ployed in the execution of the duties of his office. Their ac-
counts shall be made out and verified, and shall be paid cut
of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
