Chap. 79.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2 of chapter 80
of Acts 1875-76, for the relief of the sureties of J. B. Golliday, late
treasurer or Shenandoah county.
Approved April 2, 1879.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
section two of chapter eighty of Acts of Assembly of eighteen
hundred and seventy-five-six, entitled an act for the relief of
the sureties of J. B. Golliday, late treasurer of Shenandoah
county, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 2. The said sureties shall be allowed, with the consent of
their sureties entered of record in the county court of Shenan-
doah, to pay the balance of their liabilities as aforesaid, in
three equal annual instalments, beginning from the date of
the passage of this act: provided, nothing in this act con-
tained shall be construed to prevent the commonwealth from
proceeding to judgment against said sureties or their personal
representatives for their liability on the bond of said J. 3.
Golliday as treasurer aforesaid.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
