Chap. 57.—An ACT to incorporate Cross Keys Lodge, No. 51,
Independent Order Good Templars.

_1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That J. B. Webb,
Samuel L. Slusser, James T. Scott, John C. Hooke, J. L. Mey-
erhoeffer, P. F. Earman and W. S. Slusser, and such other per-
sons as are now or may be hereafter associated with them, be
and they are hereby incorporated and made a body politic and
Corporate under the name and style of Cross Keys Lodge,
Number Fifty-one, Independent Order of Good Templars, and
w- by that name shall have perpetual succession and a common

seal, may sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded, and may
purchase and hold to them and their successors such lands and
tenements, goods and chattels of any kind whatever, as may be
conducive to the objects of such association: provided, that
any real estate so acquired or held shall not exceed in value
five thousand dollars.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage and be subject
to amendment. modification and repeal at the pleasure of the
general assembly.
