Chap. 44.—An ACT providing for the transfer of the Anandale
church property, in the county of Fairfax.
Approved February 4, 1880.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
Benjamin F. Shreeve, John Cock, Guy C. Atkinson, Ambrose
Cock, Junior, and John Sweeny, or their successors, the trus-
tees named in a certain deed from Ambrose Cock, Senior,
dated the fifteenth day of January, eighteen hundred and
sixty-eight, conveying to them a certain lot of ground, situated
in the village of Anandale and county of Fairfax, for the use
and benefit of the Methodist Episcopal Church South, are here-
by empowered and directed to transfer said property to John
Cock, Ambrose Cock, E. W. Wakefield, Charles Bladen and
James Crux, the regularly elected trustees under the laws and
discipline prescribed by the general conference of the Meth-
odist Episcopal Church South for the government of the same,
who, with their successors, shall hold the above described pro-
perty in trust forever. That said premises shall be used, kept,
maintained and disposed of as a place of divine worship for
the use of the ministry and membership of the Methodist
Episcopal Church South, subject to the discipline. usage and
ministerial appointments of said church as from time to time
authorized and declared by the general conference of said
church and the annual conference within whose bounds the
said premises are situated.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
