CHAP. 32.—An ACT to authorize Smithfield Lodge of Independent
Order of Odd-Fellows to borrow money.
Approved February 2, 1880.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the trustees of Smithfield Lodge Number Twenty, Independent
Order of Odd-Fellows, at Smithfield, Isle of Wight county,
Virginia, be and are hereby authorized and empowered to bor
row money at a rate not exceeding ten per centum interest,
and to execute any mortgage or trust deed on their building
necessary to secure the payment of any and all debts due for
the cost of material and erection of said building.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
