CHAP. 31.—An ACT to authorize and empower Preston Lodge, No.
47, Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons, of Jonesville, Lee county,
to sell and convey certain real estate.
Approved February 2, 1880.
Whereas it is represented to the general assembly of Vir
ginia that Preston Lodge, Number Forty-seven, of Ancient,
Free and Accepted Masons, of Jonesville, Lee county, Virginia,
owns certain real estate situated in said town of Jonesville,
which the said lodge desires to sell in order to purchase other
real estate deemed more desirable; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
Preston Lodge, Number Forty-seven, of Ancient, Free and
Accepted Masons, or the trustees of said lodge, or any one
duly appointed by said lodge, shall have power and are hereby
authorized to make such sale of the real estate owned by the
said lodge for the purpose aforesaid, as the said lodge may at
a regular meeting or assembly of said body, after due and reg-
ular notice of the same, prescribe and direct, and upon such
terms and conditions as a majority of the members may deter-
mine.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
