CHAP. 256.—An ACT to authorize the Royal Oak Presbyterian
Church to sell and convey certain property.
Approved March 9, 1880.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the congre-
gation of Royal Oak Presbyterian church at Marion, Virginia,
belonging to Abingdon Presbytery, are authorized to direct
their trustees, Peter Kellinger, George W. Jones and others to
sell or otherwise dispose of their church property, situated on
Church street in Marion, and invest proceeds in church pro-
perty at another point, to-wit: on the lot on Main street,
recently conveyed by Ellen F. Sheffy to trustees for said
church, or to remove and use the material of the old church in
building on the new site, and sell the site on Church street.
And the said trustees, their co-trustees and successors, are
authorized to convey the said property on Church street as
said congregation may direct.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
