CHAP. 254.—An ACT to amend and re-enact the first section of an act
entitled an act for the protection of game, approved April 2, 1879.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall not be lawful for any person to kill or capture, or offer
ien for sale or buy, any partridges or quail between the first day of
s January and the fifteenth day of October of each year, nor shall
nof it be lawful at any time to take or destroy the eggs of the same :
provided, that it shall not be lawful for any person to kill or
, capture, or offer for sale or buy, any partridges or quail in the
fe following counties, to-wit: Bedford, Brunswick, Dinwiddie,
en Chesterfield, Henrico, Hanover, Caroline, King George, West-
moreland, Northumberland, Richmond, Lancaster, Essex, Mid-
dlesex, King and Queen, Gloucester, Mathews, King William,
New Kent, James City, York, Elizabeth City, Warwick, Charles
City, Prince George, Surry, Nottoway, Isle of Wight, Sussex,
Southampton, Greensville, Nansemond, Accomac, Northamp-
ton, Pittsylvania, Henry, Washington, Rockbridge, Grayson,
Botetourt, Franklin, Patrick, Russell, Craig, Roanoke, Mont-
gomery, Floyd, Wise, Buchanan, and Stafford, between the
first day of February and the first day of November of each
year.
