CHAP. 237.—An ACT providing commutation for David Gardner of
Montgomery county, and J. T. Miller of Danville, one-legged sol-
diers, who are unable to wear the legs furnished them.
Approved March 8, 1880.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
whereas David Gardner, a one-legged soldier of Montgomery
county, and J. T. Miller of Danville, having each received from
the state an artificial leg, which they were unable to use, and
having returned the same to the state not in the condition re-
quired by the act approved April second, eighteen hundred and
seventy-nine, that the auditor of public accounts pay (out of
any moneys not otherwise appropriated) to the said David
Gardner of Mongomery county, and J. T. Miller of Danville,
the sum of forty dollars each.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
