CHAP. 21.—JOINT RESOLUTION authorizing the auditor of public
accounts to borrow money to pay arrearages to lunatic asylums and
the Deaf, Dumb and Blind Institution, &e.
Approved January 29, 1880.
1. Be it resolved by the House of Delegates (the Senate
concurring), That the auditor of public accounts be and is
hereby authorized and instructed to borrow an amount of
money not exceeding two hundred thousand dollars, as soon as
possible, at a rate of interest not exceeding six per centum
per annum, and to apply immediately as much of said sum as”
may be necessary for the payment of all arrearages to the sev-
eral lunatic asylums and the Deaf, Dumb and Blind Institu-
tion of the state up to the thirty-first day of December, eigh-
teen hundred and seventy-nine, and the revenue; of the state
are hereby pledged for the repayment of the sum so borrowed.
