Chap. 563.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 1414 of the Code of Virginia
as amended and re-enacted by an act entitled an act to amend and re-enact sec
tion 1414 of the Code of Virginia, approved January 15, 1900, and as amende
and re-enacted by an act entitled an act to amend and re-enact section 1414 0
the Code of Virginia, approved March 3, 1900, so as to repeal certain provision
thereof relating to the council of the town of Barton Heights.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That sectio1
fourteen hundred and fourteen of the Code of Virginia, as amended an:
re-enacted by an act entitled an act to amend and re-enact section four
teen hundred and fourteen of the Code of Virginia, approved Januar
fifteenth, nineteen hundred, and as amended and re-enacted by an ac
entitled an act to amend and re-enact section fourteen hundred an
fourteen of the Code of Virginia, approved March third, nineteen hun
dred, be amended and re-enacted to read as follows:
§ 1414. Location of cemeteries; limitation as to quantity of land.—
Nothing contained in the four preceding sections shall be so construc
as to authorize any cemetery to be hereafter established in the corporat
limits of any city or town, or within four hundred yards of any residence
without the consent of the owner of such residence; or to authorize th
conveyance of more than seventy-five, or the condemnation of more thar
two acres of land for use of a cemetery.
