Chap. 489.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 6 of chapter 509, acts of as-
sembly 1895-’96, relating to how members of State board of veterinary exami-
ners qualify.
Approved December 24, 1903.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
ix of chapter five hundred and nine, acts of assembly eighteen hundred
nd ninety-five and six, approved February twenty-seventh, eighteen hun-
red and ninety-six, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 6. The members of said board shall qualify by taking the usual oath
f office before the circuit court of the county or corporation court of the
orporation in which they respectively reside, or before the judge of such
ourt in vacation. The officers of said board shall be a president, vice-
resident, and secretary (who shall also act as treasurer), said officers
» be members of and selected by the board. Regular meetings of the
oard shall be held at such times and places as the board may prescribe,
nd special meetings may be held upon the call of the president and any
wo members, but there shall not be less than one regular mecting each
ear. Three members of the board shall constitute a quorum. The board
1ay prescribe rules, regulations, and by-laws for its own proceedings and
overnment, and for the examination by its members of candidates for
he practice of veterinary medicine and surgery.
2. This act shall be in force on and after February first, nineteen hun-
red and four.
