Chap. 446.—An ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of Wash-
ington county to appropriate and contribute money for the purpose of aiding
the erection of a monument to the Confederate soldiers of said county.

1. Be it enacted bv the general assembly of Virginia, That the board
of supervisors of Washington county be, and it is hereby, authorized and
empowered, if, in its opinion, it be just and proper so to do, to ay
