Chap. 416.—An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 3203 and 3204 of chapter
155 of the Code of Virginia.
Approved December 10, 1903.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That sections
thirty-two hundred and three and thirty-two hundred and four of chap-
ter one hundred and fifty-five of the Code of Virginia be amended and
re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 3203. Who may require his opinion and advice.—The attorney-gen-
eral shall give his opinion and advice, in writing, when required to do s0
by the governor, or by the State corporation commission, or by any of
the public boards and officers at the seat of government.
$ 3204. In what eourts, counsel for State-—He shall appear as coun-
sel for the State in all cases in which the Commonwealth is interested,
depending in the supreme court of appeals, the supreme court of ihe
United States, the district and circuit courts of the United States for
the State of Virginia, and the circuit court of the city of Richmond ; and
shall also, when requested by the State corporation commission, appear
as counsel] in any maiter or proceeding pending before the said commis-
sion as a court of record; and he shall discharge such other duties as may
be imposed by the general assembly.
