Chap. 218.—An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to require city
street railway companies to run vestibule fronts on all cars on their lines during
the months of December, January, February, and March of each year, approved
February 1, 1898, as amended and re-enacted by an act in effect from and after
December 24, 1899, so as to require said railway companies to run vestibule
fronts on all motor cars on their lines during the months of November, Decem-
ber, January, February, March, and April of each year. .

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That an act
to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to require city and street
railway companies to run vestibuled fronts on all cars run on their
lines during the months of December, January, February, and March
of each year, approved December twenty-fourth, cighteen hundred and
ninety-nine, be amended and re-enacted as follows: |
§ 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That all ur-
ban, inter-urban, and suburban electric railway companies be, and they
are hereby, required to use vestibuled fronts on all motor cars run.
operated or transported by them on their lines during the months of
November, December, January, February, March, and April of each
year: provided, that such vestibuled fronts need not be used on open
summer cars run, operated or transported. by them, during the months
of November and April, and provided, that said companies shall not be
required to close the sides of said vestibules, and any such company re-
fusing or failing to comply with said requirement shall be subject to
a fine of not less than ten dollars nor more than one hundred dollars
for each offense.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
