Chap. 887.—An ACT for the relicf of Mrs. Elizabeth Grady, a widow of a Con-
federate soldier.

Whereas William Grady was a soldierin the late war, and while inthe
service contracted a disease, to wit, measles, and the said William Grady
came home and soon after the war died from the effects of the disease
contracted in said war: therefore,
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the auditor
of public accounts be, and is hereby, directed to place upon the pension
list the nameof Mistress Elizabeth Grady, the widow of the said William
Grady, of the county of Patrick, to receive a pension as other widows:
provided, however, that the s aid Mistress Elizabeth Grady shall prove
the above facts before the county court of Patrick county.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
