tion to Jurisdiction of partition of land.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That sectior
two thousand tive hundred and sixty-two of the code of Virginia be
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 2562. Jurisdiction of partition of Jands.—Tenants in) common.
joint tenants and co-parceners shall be compellable to make partition;
anda lien creditor or any owner of undivided estate in real estate may also cour:
pel partition for the purpose of subjecting the estate of his debtor, or the rent.
and profits thereof, to the satisfaction of his len.
Any court having general equity Jurisdiction of the county or corpo-
ration wherein the estate or any part thereof is, shall have jurisdictior
in cases of partition, and in the exercise of such jurisdiction mav take
cognizance of all questions of law affecting the legal title that may arisc
in any proceedings.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
