Chap. 330.—An ACT to authorize the school trustees of Brookville district, Camp-
bell county, to borrow money.
Approved February 14, 1898.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the school
trustees of Brookville school district in Campbell county be authorized
to borrow three thousand six hundred dollars for the purpose of erecting
school-houses in said district and to issue bonds therefor to bear interest
at a rate not greater than six per centum per annum.
2. That said board shall issue nine bonds of four hundred dollars each,
pavable, respectively, September first, eighteen hundred and ninety-nine,
nineteen hundred, nineteen hundred and one, nineteen hundred and
two, nineteen hundred and three, nineteen hundred and four, nineteen
hundred and five, nineteen hundred and six, and nineteen hundred and
seven, at which several dates the interest on all said bonds shall be paya-
ble. These bonds shall be issued in the name of said board as obliger
and shall be signed by the chairman of said board and attested by its
clerk, whereupon all the property of said school district shall thereby he
pledged for the payment of the principal and interest thereof.
3. That the said board shall, out of the money under its control for
each year, appropriate a sum sufficient to pay in full the one of said
bonds falling due that year and the accrued interest on all the other of
said bonds.
4. Said bonds may be sold by said board, but not for less than their
par value.
5. This act shall be in force from its passaze.
