Chap. 328.—An ACT to regulate the county school funds in the county of Sussex.
Approved February 12, 1896.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That all the
money hereafter collected in the county of Sussex, under any levy made
by the board of supervisors of said county, for county school purposes, shall
be used for the payment of teachers’ salaries or other lawful purposes in
the respective school districts in which the same may be collected, and
there shall be no division of any portion of the school fund so collected,
in any school district of said county among the other school districts
therein; and it is further enacted, that the treasurer of said county be,
and he is hereby required, to keep a separate account with each school
district in said county, of the county school funds collected therein, just
as he is required to keep a separate account of the district school fund
collected in such district.
2. All acts and parts of acts in conflict with this act, so far as they
relate to the county of Sussex, are hereby repealed.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
