Chap. 85.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 8 of an act approved Mareh
4, 1892, to incorporate the Rosemary library.
Approved January 24, 1894.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
three of an act approved March fourth, eighteen hundred and ninety-
two, to incorporate the Rosemary library, be amended and re-enacted
so as to read as follows:
§ 3. Any five of said trustees shall constitute a quorum for the
transaction of any and all business. They shall select one of their
number as the president of the corporation. The acts of a majority
of the quorum, or if more than a quorum be present, then the acts
of the majority so present at any meeting, duly notified according
to the by-laws, shall be valid. Any vacancies in the number of said
trustees occurring by death, resignation or incapacity shall be filled
by persons to be appointed by the remaining trustees, or a majority
of them. The trustees shall not receive any compensation for their
Bervices, except that if any one of their number shal! at any time
be librarian or superintendent he may receive compensation as such.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
