Chap. 826.—An ACT for the relief of L. R. Dodd from erroneous assessment.

Whereas L. R. Dodd, of Tazewell, Tazewell county, Virginia, was
assessed with and has paid to the state, for the fiscal years of eighteen
hundred and ninety, eighteen hundred and ninety-one and eighteen
hundred and ninety-two, a license tax of fifty dollars per year for
the privilege of keeping in said town of Tazewell one table at which
pool was played; and
Whereas the license tax upon said pool-table for each of said years
was twenty-five dollars instead of fifty dollars per year: therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
auditor of public accounts be, and is hereby, instructed to refund to
the said L. R. Dodd sixty-eight dollars and seventy-five cents, on ac-
count of state taxes erroneously paid by him into the state treasury.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
