Chap. 756.—An AOT to prohibit horses and colts from running at large upon
the public roads of the county of Northampton.
Approved March 7, 1894.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall
be unlawful for any horse or mare, or for any colt over the age of
three months, to run at large upon the public roads in the county of
Northampton, and the owner or owners of such animals, who shall
intentionally permit such animals to run at large as above men-
tioned, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction
thereof before any justice of the peace, shall be fined not less than
one nor more than five dollars for each offence.
2. This act shall take effect from and after the first day of May,
eighteen hundred and ninety-four.
