Chap. 751.—An ACT to provide a pension for Virginia Woods, a widow of a
Confederate soldier, of Pulaski county.
Approved March 7, 1894.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That Vir-
ginia Woods, who is alleged to be the widow of Solomon Woods, a
Confederate soldier, of Pulaski county, Virginia, who, it is alleged,
died from wounds received in the discharge of his military duty
during the late war between the states, in the year eighteen hundred
and ninety-one, be, and she hereby is, authorized to appear before
the county court of said county and show by competent testimony
the truth of said allegation; and further, that her intermarriage
with the said Solomon Woods antedated the close of.the said war,
and that upon the certificate of said proved facts by the county
court of Pulaski county to the auditor of public accounts, he is di-
rected to list the said Virginia Woods for a pension as though her
said husband had been killed in battle.
