Chap. 713.—An ACT to provide for the payment of the balance of Virginia’s
due proportion of the joint expense incurred by the states of North Carolina
and Virginia in rerunning and remarking a portion of the boundary line
between said states under the act of assembly approved March 6, 1886.

Whereas the sum of seven hundred and fifty-three dollars and
eighty-eight cents, with interest thereon from the first day of Janu-
ary, eighteen hundred and ninety, to the thirty-first day of Decem-
ber, eighteen hundred and ninety-three, making the sum total of
nine hundred and thirty-four dollars and eighty-one cents, is due
by the commonwealth of Virginia to the state of North Carolina as
her due proportion of the joint expenses of rerunning and remark-
ing @ portion of the boundary line between said states under the act
of assembly approved March sixth, eighteen hundred and eighty-six:
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
sum of nine hundred and thirty-four dollars and eighty-one cents
be, and the same is hereby, appropriated out of any money in the
treasury, not otherwise appropriated, to pay said balance.
The auditor of public accounts is hereby authorized and directed
to draw his warrant on the treasurer in favor of Elias Carr, governor
of North Carolina, or such person as the governor of this state shall
direct, for the aforesaid sum of nine hundred and thirty-four dol-
lars and eighty-one cents, to be accepted and received in full dis-
charge and acquittance of Virginia’s due proportion of the joint
expense of rerunning and remarking the portion of the boundary
line between said states under the act of assembly approved March
sixth, eighteen hundred and eighty-six.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
