Chap. 71.—An ACT to authorize the condemnation of lands for public free
school purposes within the space of one hundred yards of a dwelling-house.
Approved January 23, 1894.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall
be lawful for the public free school trustees of their respective dis-
tricts in the county of Henrico, pursuant to the provisions of section
fourteen hundred and eighty-eight of the code of eighteen hundred
and eighty-seven and the other laws of Virginia in such case made
and provided, to acquire by condemnation proceedings for that pur-
pose lands for public free school purposes; and such lands may be
so acquired in said county within the space of one hundred yards of
a dwelling or mansion house as well as without such space, notwith-
standing any provisions in said section of the code to the contrary.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
